The Gardener's Hand Salve is a true collaboration between our farm and Redbud Tea & Apothecary. We grow the healing herbs comfrey, yarrow, and calendula right here in Guthrie. We harvest them at their peak. We deliver them to Megan, where they are infused into cold pressed olive oil and combined with beeswax to create a thick, nourishing salve that stays where you put it and works while you sleep.
This salve contains no essential oils or added fragrance. The scent is purely herbal and very faint. It is designed for effectiveness, not perfume.
Each herb was selected for its natural healing properties:
Comfrey: Often called knitbone, comfrey has been used for generations to support skin repair and soothe minor irritation.
Yarrow: A classic first aid herb, yarrow helps address minor cuts and scrapes while calming inflamed skin.
Calendula: Gently soothing and moisturizing, calendula is beloved for its ability to comfort dry, chapped, or overworked skin.
Together, these three herbs create a salve that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Farm Grown Herbs: We do not buy dried herbs from distributors. Every leaf and flower in this salve comes from our fields.
Cold Pressed Olive Oil: A high quality base oil that absorbs well and carries the healing properties of the herbs.
Beeswax: Creates a protective barrier on the skin and gives the salve its thick, stay put consistency.
Fragrance Free: No essential oils. No fragrance oils. Just the natural, gentle scent of the herbs themselves.
Small Batch: Redbud Tea & Apothecary makes this salve in small batches, ensuring quality and freshness.
Apply a small amount to clean, dry hands. Focus on cuticles, knuckles, calluses, and any dry or cracked areas. For best results, apply generously before bed and allow the salve to work overnight. A little goes a long way. Also effective on elbows, knees, and feet.
